Anybody knows why Keith Carlock is not doing this part of the tour?
I don't know Josh Freese at all. His credits look punkish.
Maybe Sting wants to feel that "? la Stewart" punk energy again...

Hmmmm. I doubt it. Keith looks a little more "boy-bandish" than Josh does, actually...I'd rather assume that Sting- being an artist with the highest integrity- would never do something like that...of course, if he added a DJ or something I might get worried...
I'll bet Keith opted out/turned it down. I'm sure he has offers for other projects/recordings/tours out the wazoo...but I'd still like to know the real deal. Anyone?

Well considering hes playing for a lot of college students and giving them priority on some of the tickets, I think its undeniable that hes appealing to "younger" audiences.

I'm not sure Keith Carlock was in a position to turn down a tour. I have a drummer buddy in Chicago who went to UNT with Keith, and apparently Keith told him he's under contract for two years (this was this past spring or summer). Maybe he has some out-clause or something, but I think it's more likely that Sting just felt like putting a different band together for a little bit.
Interesting, though. I hear, though, that they are NOT coming through Chicago. Too bad.

Abe jr. did a short tour with Sting. What if he got the call first, but couldn't do it because of his commitments with Paul McCartney??? I heard he was blocked until 2005 with Paul...
